During the following weeks the position dropped to No. 3 and later a little more, but it remained in the top 10. The album has since gone platinum (1 million units shipped) and it sat again at No. 3 on the Billboard Chart on January 13th, 2007.

The huge ratings for the new season of Fox's American Idol are being credited with putting Daughtry at the top of the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart on January 22nd, 2007 — for the first time since it debuted nine weeks ago. Billboard magazine reported that sales of the Daughtry album increased 30 percent over the previous week. The single "It's Not Over" remains high on the top 40 and "Hot AC" (adult contemporary music) charts. Read more about the band's success on Yahoo!'s news article.
